New Year - New Blog - New Me

I do not think I can remember the last time I was so excited for a "New Year"!  I have been planning and saving for a couple of months now in preparation for the new year and the launch of my new blog.  I had started my artistic journey almost 2 years ago and entered the blog world a little premature I think.  I was so excited and chose a name for my creative business that I later found out was WAY to close of a name to a fellow artist.  So after long debates and many name options thrown out I have decided to just use my name.  So Dayleanne it is!

In preparation for this new year we have been saving money to invest in my art business.  I have been waiting for months to get out there and SHOP SHOP SHOP! Here are some of my goodies!

My next big purchase will be my printer and new camera.  I am still researching these items so I would love to hear your recommendations.

This year I am hoping to find my artistic niche! I love creating so much but I have yet to find my artistic style and have really been struggling with this. So the challenge I have for myself this year is........

I have decided to take a year long Mixed Media Challenge!

I will be doing a challenge a week for all of 2012 following along with the book Mixed Media Paint Box.  I will be doing two challenges this week to catch up and I cannot wait to share.  I will be working on the challenge and also my own art work along the way.  My goal this year is to CREATE, CREATE, CREATE and hopefully at the end I will have discovered my niche!

Thank you so much for taking the time to join my journey!

  6. how exciting...I am not sure that I have my "style" yet, I saw somewhere that someone was describing their multiple interests as "artistic schizophrenia" - that might be me! (Coming from Studio JRU)...blessings on your year's commitment!

  7. Love it~ your enthusiasm is contagious! I think like Cindy, a wild array of interests helps us to find what we love...that dictates our overall style. I think taking classes in all kinds of mediums is a fantastic way to see your own self.

    Excited for you!
